Mads is a Melbourne-based Maker, specialising in Set and Props construction, sculpture and puppetry.

Originating from Townsville, Mads was employed as a Mechanist with Dancenorth and trained as a Workshop and Design Assistant with TheatreiNQ before commencing a Bachelor of Design and Production at The Victorian College of the Arts. 

 

Majoring in Set and Props (Technical), Mads managed the Production Workshop and established her skills in sculpture, moulding, casting and puppetry.

 

Her most recent credits include: Set Construction for Nothing, directed by Alonso Pineda, designed by Karine Larché (2021) and Workshop Manager at The VCA for Our House, directed by Tyran Parke (2020) and Devised Theatre Works, directed by Comapany '20 (2020).

Nothing will be presented in Fortyfivedownstairs in October 2021. 

Mads' skills and interests in sculptural fabrication and  object-based storytelling have lead to current employment with with Aludean Sculpture, as Studio Assistant for commissioned public art works.
